Michael was admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants on 12 February 1973 after completing the inaugural Professional Year of the Institute.

Michael is married with four children and lives in Gordon. Although a non-player, Michael is actively involved in the Willoughby Park Bowling Club and has been Honorary Treasurer for approximately fifteen years.

Michael is a registered company auditor and is registered with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission
